Everything To Know About Texas Baseball's New Yeti Yard

The University of Texas Athletics Department has leveled up the fan experience over the last few years, first with the creation of Longhorn City Limits on football gamedays and now with Texas Baseball's new Yeti Yard.

Located in the outfield of Disch Falk Field, the Yeti Yard is the equivalent of a VIP tailgate party offering Yeti-branded chairs and coolers for fans to experience Texas Baseball.

Tickets are NOT required to enter the Yeti Yard, and you are able to bring in your own food and beverage or buy these items from the two concession stands located in the area.

Here is information from the Texas Baseball website regarding rules and regulations for Yeti Yard:

NEW! YETI Yard at UFCU Disch-Falk Field
The YETI Yard is located outside the left center field wall and provides a unique experience that puts you right on the field. Happy hour priced beer will be served until the seventh inning and fans may bring in their own food and beverage. Entry is located outside the ballpark along Disch-Falk Drive and is open to all fans. No game ticket required; space subject to capacity. Prohibited items include outside coolers, chairs/furniture, tents, and glass. Click here for a full list of prohibited items inside YETI Yard.

When my friend and I arrived for a game last weekend, we decided to check out the Yeti Yard's unique perspective before heading inside the ballpark for our seats.

Thirty minutes before the first pitch, Yeti Yard was surprisingly empty, and we were able to find two comfortable Yeti-branded lawn chairs in which to sit.

We watched the opposing team warm up in the outfield, and you feel so close to the action that you could almost touch the players.

When a Texas home run lands in Yeti Yard, be prepared for fans throwing beer in the air to celebrate - so the area may not be the most family friendly.

Images of fans going wild in Yeti Yard have already made it all over the internet (see below).

I have been to several Texas baseball games already this season, and you should be able to find chairs if you arrive early.

Capacity is limited, and once Yeti Yard is full, there is a one in, one out policy.

Whether you catch an entire game in Yeti Yard or simply visit the space before, this new amenity at Disch Falk Field should definitely be on your list to visit.
