Everything You Need To Know About The Aruba Open Beach Tennis Championships

Every November, Aruba is blessed to host the world's best beach tennis players at the Aruba Open Beach Tennis Championships.

Spanning an entire week from November 9 to November 16 this year and providing ample entertainment for only $25 for the entire seven days, one can watch men, women and mixed doubles show off their immense skills in the sand.

What exactly is beach tennis?

According to Wikipedia, beach tennis is a game combining elements of tennis and volleyball and played on a beach.

Here are the rules:

I have visited the event for several years now, and I always look forward to the excitement of professional sports on the One Happy Island.

Early in the week are group play matches and as the week progresses, the matchups become more meaningful and exciting with $100,000 of prize money on the line for players.

Seating is in the grandstands or along the side of the court near the entrance and the main bar.

I love shopping for beach gear at their store, so definitely plan on a few purchases for you, your friends and family.

If you are still in the mood to party, every night concludes with either live music or a DJ after the final matches.
